The city of Brighton’s Recreation Center, 555 N. 11th, will be closed for annual maintenance and repairs beginning Monday, Oct. 11 through Sunday, Oct. 31. The center will extend all annual passes for the time of the shutdown. In addition, annual pass holders may use the Ft. Lupton and Commerce City Recreation Centers during the Brighton closure. Work to be completed during this time includes:· New roof top unit for HVAC
· Screening all wood floors
· Replace locker room floors
· Automate gym backstop retraction and height adjustment functions
· Re-gel coat waterslide
· Paint waterslide supports
· Drain and clean pools
· General deep cleaning and repairs
The Brighton Recreation Center provides an extensive range of sports programs, general interest classes, fitness/wellness classes, child/youth/teen activities, and swimming programs.
