Indoor residential mold has been recognized as a public health hazard for some individuals. Most instances of elevated mold levels indoors in Colorado are traced directly to unique home construction techniques practiced here, such as structural wood subfloors coupled with inadequate drainage and ventilation of these underfloor spaces.In addition, ongoing and undetected water leaks from sinks, dishwashers, toilets and showers are common causes of elevated mold levels indoors.
